Use the printer’s control panel to enter the setup options.
On the printer screen → Press the Menu/Setup button
-
Navigate using arrow keys
-
Select Setup or Settings
02 Find Reset Option
Locate the reset or device settings option.
- Go to Device Settings → Reset Settings
-
Scroll down to Reset All or Reset Wi-Fi Settings
-
Confirm selection
03 Confirm Factory Reset
This will erase all custom settings and return the printer to defaults.
-
Press OK/Yes to confirm
-
Wait for the printer to restart automatically
04 Reconnect During Setup
After reset, you’ll need to reconnect the printer during IJ.Start.Canon setup.
-
Re-enter Wi-Fi SSID and password
-
Reinstall drivers from ij. start.canon
-
Run alignment test after installation
⚠️ Note: Resetting does not change the display language or region settings, but it does clear Wi-Fi and paper/fax configurations. After reset, you’ll need to redo the entire setup process.
